Areas of activity of RETEK

As certified disposal company, RETEK guarantees environmentally-compatible collection, transportation, storage, treatment and recycling of a wide variety of different waste materials:Against the background of the European End-of-life Vehicle Directive and the resulting End-of-life Vehicle Act, RETEK is contractually bound to all vehicle manufacturers of brand relevance. This includes bilateral agreements with Alpina, BMW, Citroen, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, MG, Mini, Opel, Renault and Rover and, via co-operations with Callparts System GmbH, also with Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen and, via MARI, with Daihatsu, Honda, Mazda, Nissan Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.

The disposal of end-of-life vehicles is environmentally friendly and takes place on a modern power-and-free conveyor system, including vacuum drainage, that has an annual capacity of 6000 end-of-life vehicles in one-shift operation.

A further 1000 high-quality accident-damaged vehicles or current models are disassembled and disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.

The quality-tested used parts are stored ready for sale on high-rise shelves that are stacked in accordance with a computerised system; the hall area is 1500 m². Each day, the despatch of individual parts takes place just as quickly and reliably as large-scale export business. The co-operation with used-part exchanges operating at European level and the collaboration within the Callparts-System Association guarantee online access to many European spare-parts databases.

For safety reasons, the parts must be fitted correctly by a vehicle guild; RETEK will be pleased to act as intermediary in this regard. RETEK will also act as intermediary to locate value-for-money used vehicles from the total pool of member operations. RETEK always has a small selection of reasonably priced used vehicles in stock.

The disposal of solid waste from vehicle workshops (tyres, old batteries, plastics, glass, metals, etc.) is carried out with the help of our own logistics system and in RETEK’s own reusable containers.

In the case of the disposal of waste requiring special supervision (waste oil, oil filters, brake fluid, coolant, contents of separators, etc.), RETEK employs the services of particularly qualified specialist disposal companies and, due to the large number of collection points, is able to promote logistics optimisation.
